Water based activities are some of the fastest growing in Australia. Approximately 90% of our population reside on our countries' coastal fringes. Research suggests that over 6 million of us participate in some form of water activity. Tragically, close to 100 peoples lives are cut short by drowning incidents each year. Almost equal numbers are also dying from aquatic related accidents.

Surf Life Saving Queensland and ALAQ recognises a neccessary and vital need for increased education to reduce the loss of life and serious injury in Queensland's aquatic environment.

Our objective is to assist by providing valuable education programs and courses that teach the neccessary skills required to recreate safely in these environments.
